I was recently asked why I am a good choice for my clients. My answer? I understand that people learn differently. In my case, some want written instructions on how to use their computer, others want something more creative.
My 90-year-old client was having trouble finding her Gmail’s delete icon. The gray trash can didn’t look like a trash can to her. She said it looked like a cup of orange juice.
I went with it. I asked, “After you’re done with your morning juice, what do you do with the paper cup?” I answered myself, “You throw it away! Click on the cup of orange juice and delete your email!”
We both laughed. And she has mastered deleting her Gmail.
