Stuck at home because of the Coronavirus? Getting a little antsy? How about traveling to your favorite museums … on your computer! Several world-famous museums are offering "virtual" tours online. I’m featuring three here with simple instructions on how to use the websites. I’ve sent this to some of my older adult clients who are loving them.
So, sit down, make yourself comfortable, and get whisked away to Washington DC’s National Gallery of Art, Paris’ Musée d’Orsay, and New York’s Guggenheim.
1. National Gallery of Art, Washington, D.C. -- after your click on the link below, you will see Édouard Manet’s, “The Railway.” Then scroll down to see the history of the painting. When you’re done, click on “Explore” in the top right corner for more exhibits.
2. Musée d’Orsay, Paris — Click on the link below and you’ll see a large photo of a clock and the museum’s arched ceiling. Look for the tiny arrow, on the right, in a half circle. Click on that arrow to get to the next slide. Keep clicking and you’ll learn all about the museum’s amazing history.
